Your files

Every tool currently on Fileno processes your file locally, in your browser. The file is read into memory by JavaScript running on your device, converted or edited there, and offered back to you as a download. It is not uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server we operate. If a future tool ever needs server-side processing, that tool's page will say so explicitly, and any file it handles will be deleted automatically after processing.

Information we collect

We do not require an account, so we don't collect names, emails, or passwords to use the tools. Like most websites, we may use standard, privacy-respecting analytics (for example, Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic — pages visited, approximate location by country, device type — and Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in search. Neither is currently connected on this build; both would be added with a visible cookie notice, per the Cookies policy.

Advertising

The site is designed to be supported by advertising (for example, Google AdSense) in clearly labeled spaces. No ad network is connected in this build — every ad slot you may see is a placeholder. Once a real ad network is added, this section will be updated to describe what data that network collects.
